Hi All, hope you had a nice Mother’s Day weekend!! It sure was a wonderfully-weathered weekend here in San Diego.
Today I have for you yet another visual + sparkle = inspiration filled with cool and bright jewel-tones perfect for a Mayan, beach Wedding. This one is still a few months away, but we are visualizing warm weather for a February Riviera Maya wedding!

mexican talavera tile fall hues
Although we are right in the middle of Spring, to us in the Wedding Industry it’s just about time we start thinking of late Summer and Fall colors. In preparation for a Talavera tile-inspired Wedding Invitation I’m working on I conjured up this visual + sparkle = inspiration with colors chosen by the Bride-to-be. I can just imagine the vibrant decor that can be created with these colors!

squirrel birth announcements
Hi there, and happy Friday!! I shared with you the baby shower invitations and decor in December, but now I give you the Squirrel Birth Announcements for the cutest little dumpling.
I present to you my darling niece Sophia Francesca Meza, daughter to the very talented duo Photographer Paulina Merekiova and Designer & Animator Alx Meza.
We wanted to keep the same design as the baby shower invitation and decor, but changed the format into a square accordion fold so it would be easy for grandparents to display on the mantle.
The type treatment for the copy is the same as the shower invitation, but of course changing the wording to reflect the sentiment of the announcement.
…and the beautiful photo, of course by the momma herself.
It’s all in the details, so we added an envelope liner with the baby’s name centered on it.
visual + sparkle = color
I came upon this very cool illustration from The Everywhere Project and was immediately entranced by the contrast of the bright red and turquoise—one of my favorite color combinations. Thought the turquoise and teal hues combined with the vibrant red and tan would make an excellent Fall Wedding palette. What do you think?

we are stamping
Just received some fun packages yesterday. Among them I found lovely bright yellow envelopes, Save-the-dates to be inserted into those yellow envelopes (which ship tomorrow!!), and, best of all, custom stamps for the return address and front-of-the-envelope motif which can be used on many other Wedding-related items by the bride and groom.
I’m so excited to be introducing Custom Stamps to the Lizzy B Loves repertoire, it adds a great textural element to the stationery suite. Stay tuned for more from this new Save-the-date with inspired Mexican motifs.

visual + sparkle = color
In celebration of the first day of Spring, I’d like to share with you this retro, 90′s-inspired (I feel old saying that the 90′s is retro!!), color palette perfect for a confident Spring Bride. What do you think? Would you be so bold as to use these as your wedding colors? Surely a vibrant and festive event.

Who wouldn’t want to get married on a beach? Well this visual spark was created as inspiration for a Save the Date I just sent to print, and where will the Wedding be held?…the warm and tropical Riviera Maya. Wow!
